In the working group Lindner a software tool was designed (the Graphic Analyzer) to easily create automated and apply image processing algorithms.
Firstly, it provides a comprehensive library of image processing methods as well as analysis and debugging tools, which are aimed at developers of image processing algorithms.
On the other hand, algorithms can be connected with graphical user interfaces (GUIs) so that the program also allows for easy use without any programming knowledge.
Furthermore, a connection to the program In-situ Control (also developed in this group) is possible. This software controls the in-situ microscope which was developed at the TCI and also performs the automated image recording during the cultivation processes. By connecting both programs, images are evaluated immediately after recording and data such as cell number, cell size distribution etc. are immediately available.
